Saxophonist Javier Oviedo and members of the CSP Orchestra led by Maestro Jean-Pierre Schmitt will take you on a musical historical journey. Discover the who what where and why about one of the most popular but virtually unknown instruments in the world!

Did you know the saxophone existed nearly 80 years before the development of Jazz? Did you know the saxophone was named for its inventor, Adolphe Sax? Why does it look like it does?

These and many more questions you may have will be answered in this brief talk highlighted with music from different periods of the instruments' short life.

CSP presents SAXOPHONE 101 at community centers, hospitals, schools, and libraries.

We are also available for private bookings as well.
